Anyone for quiche? by TERRY S on 2 February 2010 9:22pm

Is this one of the dumbest things ever? I think so.

Fine, a dumb request, but why on earth was the girl humiliated? I'd have just told the cashier she was crazy or nuts and that the store just lost her business forever. I'd also have said I'll tell my family and friends not to patronize there too. She also should have asked to speak to the store manager or gone to find him/her herself. 'Humiliated' is a ridiculous way to describe the customer. She didn't lose her dignity or self respect.

Well I hope they gave her a lifetime's free supply!

If this is true, then the checkout cashier must have done it for a joke, or is very thick!

I'd be delighted if I was asked for my ID when buying Quiche, then again, man walked on the moon the year I was born!

I was born in 1969, too, Loretto.

Huh? Quiche? I could see libations, but QUICHE?

Yeah, did they actually explain why you need ID to buy quiche?
I'd have been delighted too Loretto!

I guess it must have been one of those alcoholic quiches which are about 14% proof and carry the logo: "Made In Scotland" :)
