That barber sketch by Muscipula on 24 February 2010 12:20am

It was the cold, callous and sheer control over the evil that drew me to Michael. I recently - a couple of weeks - bought the DVD set of all the MP series from 1969 to 1974.

When I was 9, in 1969 I never got the chance to watch MP cos mum sent me to bed and really got wound up when the kids were talking all about each episode the next day.

In fact I hardly saw any of them only the odd episode. When I joined the Royal Navy, during the Silver Jubilee, a guy called Michael Ellis was in charge of the sword swinging display of which I was a part of.

That was 1977 and I had no idea that he was mentioned in one of the episodes in the last series, it was he who told me that he had been told it would happen.

Anyway, one of the disks is still in my laptop and haven't finished watching it, so I still have some more Monty Python to watch.
