Movie Trivia by Loretto on 25 February 2010 11:40pm

Psycho; The blood in the shower scene when Perkins was stabbing Janet Leigh was really Hershey's Chocolate Syrup.

Who's up next with a bit of useless movie knowledge?

The chips jammed up Michael Palin's nose in AFCW were made of fibreglass!

Anyone else done a 'behind the scenes' Hitchcock tour at Universal?

Showed you how they filmed the shower scene in Physcho, plus the bit where the man is hiding under the roundabout in another Hitchcock movie can't remember which, and others.

And also a short showing of the 3D version of the birds.

The guy under the carousel was in "Strangers on a Train". Damn near took his head off!

Now you're speaking my language! I know quite a lot movie trivia.

In the Lemony Snicket movie, three girls - triplets - were originally cast as Sunny. But when they got to the set, they developed separation anxiety and scream their poor little heads off, so the Hoffman twins were cast instead. Plus, in the Curdled Cave scene, Sunny's face isn't shown the entire time. That's because the twins were so tired that they started to fuss, so they had to get someone else's baby to be a stand-in.

Scar in Lion King was supposedly based on Hitler.

That's all I can think of right now :P

Well it's not really trivia but Ray used to live about 10 houses from the blue door in Notting Hill (which is now black coz the blue one was sold)...but when they filmed the movie all the residents were told to move their cars and Ray didn't so they towed his car away. he refuses to ever watch the film. His friend Barry is in the opening scenes bellowing his head off, selling something on a stall in Portobello Rd.

ohh and ALSO, when Ray was working for Pinewood studios he took me to the set of Children of men with Clive Owen, they were blowing up a cafe in Fleet Street.

http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0206634/

It was futuristic and all the cast and extras were dressed as if they'd been in a war zone, they used real amputees mostly. I was wearing my usual purple and got into a shot by accident which had to be edited out... LOL!!!!
