Hidden gem of a musician. by Ken Dunn on 3 October 2013 10:53pm

On our holiday in Jersey we were entertained at our hotel on Tuesday evenings by a guitarist called Eddie Muddiman. He played brilliantly for two hours unaccompanied using a Canadian guitar which could sound like different instruments. One of the highlights of the performance was Duelling Banjos where he played both parts divided between the banjo and guitar sounds from his instrument. He also accompanied some excellent videos he had taken himself with well known tunes. The video I remember most was of the Durrell wildlife park but I can't remember the tune he played with it. I'll try to remember to let you know the tune when I've watched the DVD from his Sight and Sound compilation which also includes a CD. When I spoke to him at the end of his first performance I said that he reminded me of Julian Bream, John Williams and Manitas de Plata all rolled into one.

Quite a compliment comparing him to Julian Bream and John Williams. He must have had impressive abilities.

He played Fleetwood Mac's Albatross to video footage from the Jersey air show and Somewhere Over The Rainbow to the footage from the Durrell wildlife park.
