The Chatter Box : Blathering On

Footprint Guides by sminobe on 15 November 2003 12:24am

The latest editions of Footprint's "South American Handbook" & "Caribbean Islands" has quotes from Our Hero right on the covers:

SAHB "Sets the pace for the rest to follow."

CI "Great travelling companions, constantly entertaining and they know what they're talking about."

I only recall seeing him quoted specifically about the SAHB: "I carried the volume in my bag from Cape Horn to Cartagena and consulted it every night for two and a half months. And I wouldn't do that for anything else except my hip flask."

It looks like their other Handbooks have MP quotes as well (see www.footprintbooks.com), but they're too small to read on their website.
