Your English has improved again TOOTS and how can I "Mind my own posts" when your rubbish poetry is traipsing after my posts on all topic threads. By the way, this will be my last post directed at you. Stay on the site, whatever, but don't ruin it for everybody else who actually enjoys hearing about what others are reading, seeing in the news and the places they have traveled to. Bye Toots. No more posts from me to you. Your loss.

I was much much younger when I wrote this (so please make allowances!!) - it was not long after his (Jim Morrison)death. He was, and still is, my god.

I want to go to Paris
No.
Not for the Eiffel Tower
Nor the Left Bank.
Not for visits to
Notre Dame and Sacre Coeur,
Nor romantic walks in
The moonlight
Along the Seine.
No.
Paris to me means
Jim Morrison.
Paris
Where he lies
Forever
'James Douglas Morrison,
Poet'.
I want to go to Paris
For
Without him
I am
Nothing.

There are a few more 'Jim' poems!

If I went to a medium
Would you come through?
Is there an 'after life'?
Or is there just emptiness?
Not believing in God but
Scared by the supernatural
Still I wish you would
Come to me.
Where are you?
Oh, I know your bodily remains
Are in Paris.
But where are YOU?
Where is everything that was
Jim Morrison?
Where is the intelligence
The very self that was you?
It cannot be gone
Forever.

Toots, don't give up your day job. You'll never make a rouble as a poet.

Tootsie: have you perchance lost your marbles??

Re: "POET`S" CORNER by bIG bLOGGER on 28 April 2010 5:37pm

If you can find anybody to buy this,I will send you 100 roubles and a dead sheep.

At least you seem to have invented by accident a new genre: Slander Poetry!

Tootsie, you are so popular on this site that I think you might find the rest of us feel unworthy to reply to you from now on. Goodbye Tootsie.

Tootsie: I DO like your poem about the eponymous Mr.Kozlodojev.
Your poetic muse has really come on forward a bucketload in the last couple of days and the poem: "Mr Kozlodojev" is really an epic stuff, and in fact I would like to buy it from you.

So how much is your price??

btw: WHO IS Mr. Kozlodojev?? [Is he anyone I might know??]

A wonderstruck Russian poem [in Translation]
----by PALOMA SMOLENOVA ::

<< MODELLING CHERNOBYL >>

1. She's having her dubious breakdown today
It's only the latest edition;
She's having her molecular meltdown, wahey!
Her brain is in nuclear fission...

2. She's having her dubious breakdown today
Holding the world out for ransom;
She's having her molecular meltdown,wahey!
Much molten lava,and then some...

3. She's having her dubious breakdown today
Naively indicting the President;
She's having her molecular meltdown,wahey!
Three Mile Island is her precedent...

4. She's having her dubious breakdown today
We're all foreign fools--the hell we are!
She's having her molecular meltdown,wahey!
Modelling Chernobyl,she's out far.....

Written about the same time as the Jim Morrison poems (on page 6 of this thread). Early 1970s.

WARNING!! A bit rude!!

DEATH

Creeping softly
The night black around me
I come across your frozen face
Eyes staring sightless
Lips white and thin.
Why does remorseless night
Follow gentle day?
I love you then
Feeling your coldness enter me.
Yours eyes glow red
Your teeth flash yellow
In the unrelenting moonlight.
You moan with a hollow
And unworldly sigh
As you erupt inside me.
I scream with terror, then
Feeling your burning yet icecold
***** shoot into me.
At last your eyes grow dim again
And you lie still.
I realise then that you
Are no longer mine
That I have lost you
To another plane.
I move away
Then horrorstricken
Cover my eyes and collapse
Into a deep canyon of grief.

Sorry if I have offended anyone!!

:(

DEATH II

How does it feel to be
As one with the universe?
To drift as a cloud along
The endless passageways of time?
To dwell within
Two walls of hope
Or lie ensnared beneath
A sea of doom?
