Ken Dunn:
France was beaten badly by Mexico last night by 0:2 Your prediction of 3:2 to France was somewhat way off.

Today's England Game:
[Prediction]:
England 0 : Algeria 0
(...You know I must be right!)

Ken, your predictions wouldn't win you much at the bookies. :)
Germany are a goal down to Serbia at half-time and down to ten men.
I think England will win 3-0 this evening.

jtm: I seriously doubt that on the form they showed against USA last Saturday, that England can do anything much except hold Algeria to a 0:0 Draw.

Wow, who who have predicted Germany losing to Serbia, Spain to Switzerland and France to Mexico. What an UN-predictable World Cup this is turning out to be. I would like to agree with JtM and have England up for a 3-0 win tonight, but crikey, who knows!?

American Michael Bradley has managed to level the score in a tight match between the United States with a team of Slovenia.

The result of tonight's England game just about proves that there's not really an easy game when it comes to world class football.

Re: World Cup Predictions by johnnythemonkey on 18 June 2010 9:48pm

England just had a 0-0 draw with Algeria. England were pathetic but incredibly can still qualify from the group with a win over Slovenia.

Pathetic is a polite way of putting it! They were really, really bad. The Algerians were very good. Don says he doesn't even care about watching Wednesday's match and quite frankly I'm with him. My amateur cinema team could play better than this bunch of losers. The reason is that the so-called professionals have so much money they've forgottern they are there to PLAY FOOTBALL!!

Re: World Cup Predictions by Wild in Africa on 19 June 2010 7:54am

Terry, agree totally with you. England was lazy, inept, lacking flair. imagination or motivation. They are a bunch of overpaid arrogant prima donnas who deserve this kick up the ass to teach them that kicking a ball around a grass field doesn't qualify them for sainthood. I, and I imagine the rest of England must be feeling pretty much the same this morning. Sure the Scots and Welsh are laughing their socks off.

It seems to me that the European teams are overthinking their strategies rather than just going for it. The results are interesting but the play is lacklustre.
