I can't remember seeing a worse performance from an England team. Sure, they've had some bad results in the past but last night they showed nothing.

Here in Scotland it's the arrogant English press and media pundits that annoy us. They make the supporters believe that England only has to turn up and they'll beat such 'inferior' opposition. Even if they exit this tournament with their tail between their legs, that will be forgotten come 2014 and once again England will assured that their team can win the World Cup.

The players they have should be capable of beating Slovenia and progressing but it won't be easy.

That's true. Exiting the England v Algeria game,Wayne Rooney was booed by England supporters in the stands and he replied by saying something sarcastic for which he later "apologised".
But he WAS rubbish and the whole England team deserved to be booed. England's fervent supporters have spent a lot of their hard-earned money going all the way to SA to cheer on their team and then they are gifted with a perfomance like that.

Prediction (on present form) for next Wednesday crucial World Cup fixture:

Slovenia 4
England 0

Well done New Zealand!

Indeed Ken. NZ did well and Nelsen in particular was outstanding.

Re: World Cup Predictions by Ken Dunn on 20 June 2010 9:33pm

There is no way the Brazilian player deserved a red card. I think some of the Ivory Coast players should have got yellows/reds for play acting and going in with studs up.

Ken, I think the Ivory Coast player may find himself banned when FIFA look at the replays.

I was also thinking that with the amount of shirt pulling going on at set-pieces, maybe a team would be at an advantage if they kitted their guys out in Lycra. :)

Ahm yes, I almost forget: Robert Green (the goal keeper): England's answer to Scott Norwood.
