He gave a gloriously magnificent OTT performance in 'Die Hard'. It's one movie where I was rooting for the baddie.

Yes I'd certainly have to agree with you about Mr Rickmans' ability to make your legs go all jelly wobbly at the most inconvenient of moments!! :^}

Some more of his great movie appearences:

Truly Madly Deeply - he stars as a cellist who dies prematurely and then 'comes back' to 'comfort' and ultimately help heal his grieving partner.
A really touching, funny and uplifting tale.

A Really Big Adventure - Rickman co-starring with Hugh Grant (who's playing a really nasty gay theatre director, not the romantic fop for a change!!) The story is set during the Second World War about a young woman eager to join a theatre Rep company and ends up getting involved with the leading man (Rickman). The story has a tragic twist which I won't spoil for you.
Well worth a look.

I also agree, Rickman is brilliant in Sense and Sensibility, Dogma, Galaxy Quest, Harry Potter ( he's got my daughter going all jelly wobbly now!! :-) ) Robin Hood (it's quite amusing watching him act Kevin Costner not just out of every scene but almost the entire movie!! :-) ) and, yep TwoSheds :-), camping it up in Die Hard.

Definately Sir Alan....

Fabulous actor,

outrageously sexy,

scary teeth............
