in the test I was standing at a red traffic light and as I wanted to drive on I was so nervous that the car went out and then I didn't have enough space between the car and a biker but I passed :-)

I can remember when I was learning I used to wait ages at junctions to make sure it was clear and once my instructor said 'wait! someone's just set off from Blackpool!' (this is hours away from me!).

Also on my (2nd attempt) test, a drunk was standing at a crossing and sort of looked as if he was going to cross and then didn't. This was a few seconds (hours it seemed!) after the lights changed. I was sure I'd failed because of it, and said to the examiner that I thought the bloke was going to cross and he said 'me too!'. I passed!!

Good luck!!

I also argued with my driving teacher the whole time about rules and why they are the way they have to be but we never found an answer.
I really had a cool and pretty young teacher and my best friend and I talked him into a trip to get the rest hours (we're supposed to drive a specific amount of hours on the highway, by night and in the city)done. Since it was the idea of my best friend and me we had to read the map and decide where to drive. So we took a third student with us and our teacher. we three students had to change driving the whole two days. We drove from north germany to south germany and the next day back. It was so much fun but the problem (which made it all even funnier) was that my best friend is not very good at reading a map. So each time it was my turn to drive she had to read the map and once our teacher asked where we were and she just said "which highway were we on?" after telling her the name, five minutes passed and she just said "i can't find it" so we managed to get lost in a 15000 people town. lol. I think we were cracking up the whole two days just leaving some breaks to eat for which we went to McDo and couldn't find our way back to the highway (I was driving with her instructions). It was pure fun.
