Patty, I didn't know that. I was just teasing you and feel badly for you, even if the trade was "even" and you didn't like your job. What did you do when you worked?

George, I have a childhood friend who is a Texas teacher. In El Paso. She teaches art in the Vocational High School. She said with all the rules it is getting crazier and she looks forward to retiring. She loves the students, but despises the bureaucracy. I toyed with teaching out here, but I would have to go back to school for a year then student teach. I am teaching at the Community College anyway part time, trying to build it into a full time gig.
The call center I work in is a mindless job in which I excel, then after work I can do the stuff I REALLY want to do, because I don't bring the job home.

I am enjoying the luxury of two days off. I've gotten a lot of writing done on both my public speaking book and my blogs. I have a couple of silly short stories in mind.

Yes, Mike, it's all about the bureauracy. When Bush was governor of Texas, he had a bill go through the legislature called the "Bush Paperwork Reduction Act". I don't think it had any real effect. At the federal level, he has another project called "No Child Left Behind". Of course, the truth is there are many children who no only need to be left behind, they need to be trained in a skill. Everyone deserves a second chance, but good grief! As it is, no one is helped in many cases. Some of them, in fact, wind up in prison.

hmm, that seems pretty generous. here in canada, you're usually entitled to two weeks vacation per year, but it varies depending on the company.
