Allegedly, it is going to be the biggest date for weddings in history. I know for you folks in the U.K. though, it is a time to reflect and be vigilant.

That should make it easy for husbands to remember the anniversary (card) in 8 years time!

It is supposed to be the luckiest day in decades too, the last one was 7/7/1977.

Yes it is also a sad day, Mike.

However I am hoping that this means I get six numbers up on the lottery tonight!!

;-)

Good grief, Arty! Things cannot be THAT bad.

All the Brit newspapers (even the ones which should know better) make a great thing of, every year, this date - 6/6/06 or any with the same numbers recurring, will never happen again and isn't this a historic day. What nonsense.
Why are dates with lots of 7s in them supposed to be significant?

Husband - who had to walk 8 miles home on the evening of 7/7/05 after getting to work safely in the morning(and yes I know it could have been an awful lot worse)- has just told me there's now a Memorial Garden for the 52 fatalities very near to Kings Cross railway station, where a lot of the awful things happened. I must go and see that.

It is one date on which the US and UK standards for writing dates are the same but that happens on 1/1, 2/2 3/3 etc. every year anyway.

How's this for a 'lucky' baby? Born at 7 a.m. on 7/7/07 and she's her parents 7th child! Also, which hasn't been picked up by the paper, her Dad is 37!!

Thanx for the link, Anne. I don't know about the U.K. but in the U.S. seven (because of rolling dice) is a lucky number.
