Local Bands. by montyfreak0234 on 23 July 2007 9:02pm

I have been curious about popular and/or local bands across the world. Share your band, a favorite, or just a local band.

Here's one out my way: www.papadosio.com

We have lots of pipe bands in Scotland. My favourite is Field Marshall Montgomery Pipe Band as my nephew plays for them and they are the current Grade 1 World Champions. See www.fmmpb.com for more details. When it is played well piping music, in a balanced ensemble with the drums, is very stirring.

Can't answer for London, but Kathryn Tickell playing Northumbrian pipes is just wonderful, and she plays with various bands. (She may even have one of her own)
