What do you dream at night? by Sunniva on 1 August 2007 8:32pm

Tonight I dreamt that I was dragged down in the ocean by a sofa. And I think I drowned... =S

Well if I were you, to be on the safe side, I'd buy a polystyrene sofa !

When I relate my dreams to my wife, she thinks I'm even crazier than what is apparent ! Just because she never remembers her's !

Last night I had a nightmare where I was standing watching someone suffocate someone else with a pillow. I woke up frightened to death (no it isn't a joke, I wasn't eating my pillow or anything!!).

Scary stuff.

I once had a nightmare that the world had run out of booze and woman. Don't know what frightened me the most but to be on the safe side I shouted for a beer ! Well, if you can't have it all, get your priorities right. Besides, I've had more women than beer. ;)

That's a definite ;) !!!

My last dream? Elaine and I were in Boston's Government Center on a cool November day, with millions of other screaming crying lunatics, celebrating the Red Sox World Series Victory. Then Louise Day Hicks' ghost returned and brought back bad memories for all, especially Elaine.

You don't seem to like Irish/catholics at all Mike. Why ?
If I made consistent comments against politicians who were Jewish or Muslim, I would be roundly condemned. I'm serious, what makes you ,and others like you think you can make jibes at Catholics ? Are we still the unprotected ? Are we almost too mainstream but not quite, therefore not afforded the protection of ' minority' rights ?
I have been subjected to bigotry here in Scotland because of my background. I am an atheist but still feel part of, what I regard as my ethnic background.
I supported my like-minded Celtic brothers in their struggle for a right to live as human beings in Ireland ( including their right to take up arms ) but feel happier than most that these things are almost behind us. I feel strongly about these things Mike. Most people reading your post would'nt know who Louise Day Hicks was, so maybe you thought it would pass unnoticed ( not past me my friend ).
I request that you retract on this and your other anti- Catholic insinuations.

Before you put 'your defence' and denial; is your recent attack on the Kennedy's ,then Hicks, a mere coincidence ?

John.

Oh my, what is with the morbid dreams? I usually dream about guys I like, (i.e. Michael Palin), or whatever is on my mind at the time.

Hey, Mike, you got something against Irish/catholics? I'm both.

Re: What do you dream at night? by tucsonmike on 2 August 2007 2:23am

You guys are kidding right? Elaine IS Irish Catholic! Where did you get the idea I do not like Irish Catholics?

I would hardly participate in a forum such as Palin's if I were bigoted, especially with Mr. P's traveling to open up other cultures.

John,
I am only going to say this once. My Irish Catholic father in law and HIS father, the Boston Police Detective had stuff with the Kennedys going back decades.
John MacCormack, the Speaker of the House in the 1960's is distantly related to Elaine, but there is some sort of bad blood and I was told never to point out the relationship.

I will not repeat the story of Louise Day Hicks, but will let you read the Wikipedia article.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Louise_Day_Hicks

I have a funny story about Louise Day Hicks, but that is for another day.

So John, he who leaps to conclusions frequently leaps off cliffs!
