Happy Festival Of Lights,vibhas,--me' old Deepawali Charlie!!
(You mention our 'Christmas' as well!)

Exams are not a conspiracy as such to torture you (there are other ways of doing that),they are just a clever way of sorting the intelligent from the dunces, and I would put you in the first category,so don't worry vibhas_virwani,me ol' swami master:all will be well.

Well, Youngster, if you don't like the way the Oldies did it, it's up to your generation to change it!!...... :)

(But good luck with the rest of the exams)

Hey Vibhas! From a washed up oldster to a promising rookie: put in a good effort in this final push!

V, my Kathryn had her exams ( 8 in all) recently, she didn't study at ALL (I know I know) and on exam days didn't even know what order they were in! I was panicking and she was as cool as a bleedin' cucumber. AND she passed them all!!!

Back in *my* day, we had 4 or 5 exams a day for the whole MONTH of December! Our exam monitors used bull whips to "encourage" the students who fell asleep or just got lost in thought. There was a guillotine in the courtyard, and if you were caught cheating, you were executed on the spot! All this, AND we had to walk through 4 feet of snow to get to the classrooms where the exams were being held.

No, really--where I went to college, our exams were all done by the 20th of December.

*Good Luck Vibhas!*

You can conquer your exams.

Eat food that's good for your brain.

Get enough sleep: it's critical to memory.

But caffeine can help boost short term memory: http://www.news-medical.net/?id=14758

Show those exams who's boss! :)

Haahaa Judy that made me laugh, the four feet of snow bit, I have visions of you trudging thru the snow, satchel on back, big boots on!!

The one time we got that much snow, I hightailed it home and was stuck there for a week. I was a bit sorry, because classes were cancelled (it really was 4 feet deep--more than that in some places), and the live-in students had a blast jumping out of the dorm room windows and skiing in the streets.
