Oh that's really interesting!!

I thought this was gonna be a thread on the brainiest person in Britain, who , in my opinion, would have to be the person who thougt up the creme egg OR prawn cocktail crisps.

You mean it isn't Mr. P?:) If not him, Jeremy Clarkson of Top Gear.

Yes,Michael Palin is a well-educated,knowledgeable and resourceful gentleman. On the other hand, Jeremy Clarkson is a public school-educated tosser (he went to Repton School) and speaks in a pseudo-plummy posh voice and is belligerent and opinionated and mouthy and mad about motorcars.

Sorry, mike, but I've never seen any evidence of brains inside Jeremy Clarkson's head.

Much though I hate to disagree with you, Mike, I just HAVE to agree with bB- he and I find Clarkson obnoxious. He really does overstep the mark sometimes, quite recently with a contemptuous description of a kind of lorry & lorry-drivers (one killed a series of sex-workers in a notorious case here a few years ago).

Gave much offence to most of the population.

It probably doesn't come across on the TV programme 'Top Gear' just how unpleasant he seems.

Michael Palin No. 1 Brain of Britain? Now you're talking!

I was winding you folks up, LOL! As much as I enjoy Top Gear, I do wonder about ol' Jeremy.
Seriously, I do think Tony Robinson (Baldrick in Blackadder) has a brain. Watch his series Worst Jobs.
