An unexpected long weekend to Norway. by Ross141 on 9 January 2009 7:17am

My Father works away for most of the year, and after having a nasty fall at work, he has been laid up in Hospital.

Now I don't usually bother people with my plights and problems, but he is in a serious way, so myself and my Mother have to travel over to Trondheim Airport, and then up to Verdhal to get to him, so I thought you'd be interested to know how I get on.

I'll have my camera with me, so I'll be taking some pictures. I'll keep you posted.

Best wishes and good thoughts being sent your father's way. Let him know that people all over the world are pulling for him.

This will be interesting, though I am sorry it is under these circumstances. Hope your father is better soon.

Hello to all those who have posted, and thank you for the kind words, I really appreciate them.

My Dad turned out to be in better shape than I was expecting - which is good news. Turns out he has a few cracked ribs and swollen muscles, but he will pull through.

Norway itself though is a thoroughly beautiful place to be. The Fjords are a sight to behold, and the country air so fresh and clean. I hope to return someday, under more favourable circumstances.
