Train from Arica to La Paz by Jerome on 3 February 2009 3:05pm

Hi,

Has anyone done the train journey from Arica, Chile over the Andes to La Paz, Bolivia recently? This is the train trip MP did on Full Circle, so I want to do the same thing. Any information would be helpful, thanks.

Hi Jerome. Just trying to figure out if you are from London. Do you now live in Australia or Canada or where? I had a quick glance at your travel pictures but ran out of time playing Sherlock Holmes. As mentioned to Saltspringislander, you may include one more statistic to be included on our Palinstravels Vital Statistics list.

Hope you return to share your travel stories.

Hi, I am actually from Australia, but my family background is german. I don't live anywhere at the moment as I am travelling around the world for a couple years. When I finish I'll go back to my last home, Berlin.

Greets, Jerome

PS: What's a Palinstravels Vital Statistics list?

Jerome, when you log into the chatterbox, at the bottom of the page there is a section by that name. There's also a Travel section, Blathering On, Series, Messages from Michael, etc. Vitals and Welcome and Introductions is there as well. Choose Vitals to see the list.

I've been to Germany several times but not yet made it to Berlin. Also, one of my dearest german friends immigrated to Australia about 20 years ago. Made me sad to see him leave. But I still have friends there. A family in Buchenbeuren, Hunsruck, not far from the Mosel. Also, I, too, am of German extraction 4th generation in USA, from Dusseldorf and Baden-Baden and lived in Heidelberg after they married.
