They both told me the page wasns't found. But if they are anything like the one you sent me personally..... it's terribly heartbreaking...

I managed to get into the pictures by typing the whole link in the address book.

It is so awful.

Ohh OK. For those who can't nsee them, one is a koala sitting holding a firefighter's hand and drinking from his water bottle having come out of the bush traumatised and dehydrated.
The other is a little possum who had been saved, sitting on a fireman's shoulder.

Oh, the horror of it all. For people and those poor little animals.

Kaz, just to let you know that BBC America showed the koala bear yesterday on the news. Mom and I both saw it.

Did all the non-Aussies see this one?

There was another story about a baby koala that got into a tub of water in someone's shed to cool off, but I can't find it now. So freakin' cute! Sad though--it was probably trying to get away from the intense heat, either from the weather or the fires. And what do the rescued animals have to go back to?

And I'm so sorry for the people who are just finding out their loved ones didn't make it out. So very sad.

Ohh I think that little koala has become an international star!!
And the one in the water, it just shows you how desparate and disorientated these little fellows are when they're coming to humans for help.
The estimation is 1,000,000 wild animals lost.
