Mystery Discussing US Mexico Border. by tucsonmike on 19 June 2009 4:16am

I thought of Mr. P and Pacific Rim when he saw the border @ Tijuana. On May 8th, a mystery writer named Louise Ure (native Tucsonan now living in San Francisco, like the more famous Tucsonan Linda Rondstadt). The book is called Liars Anonymous. Hope Mr. P will take a look @ it as well as everyone else.
Her website is http://www.louiseure.com

Yes Mike that's correct, Linda Ronstadt no d in the middle) is indeed from Tucson.
Other notable Tucsonians include Barbara Eden actress and Lee Marvin actor. In actual fact, Lee was born in New York but he liked Tucson. A lot. He has a thing for cactus wrens.
It should also be noted that Paul McCartney of Beatles fame, resided in Tucson for a period of time. He wanted to, and in fact DID, join the local branch of Toastmasters.
Of course. my favourite Tucsonians would have to be Wieslaw Z. Wisniewski, noted astronomer and Dave Baldwin, major league baseball player. And let's not forget Myron Frumpenburger. He grows round boxes of cereal.

Kazzzz, your post read like a bIG bLOGGER special.....straight from Wiki.

Are you related to her ?

I AM the new BB :)
I must say I resent the fact that you assume I use that lightweight site, Wiki. I do not. I walk to the local library (in the rain) and painstakingly research the latest reference books, page by page, so as to insure complete accuracy. I don't take matters relating to Tucson at all lightly.

Oh and also, Paul McCartney's place of residence in Tucson was:
14101 E Redington Rd
Tucson, AZ 85749

Y'all thought I made that up didn't you ;)

Is Major Nelson aware that Jeannie is a Tucsonian?

Mike, do you use that particular publishing house? Perhaps you could give them a plug on here. They might print your first 100 pages for free! :)

Mike I am somewhat confused as to the nature of Solar Turtle. On the top bit it talks about press and publishing. But BELOW, it talks about water purifiers and "how to fend for yourself, and have fun doing it! "
What does this have to do with turtles?
Tucson sure is a strange place y'all!

Mikey pop down and check out the actual nature of the business and get back to me. Ta :)

Oh and how is Bob Walkup these days? Haven't seen him for ages!

Myron Frumpenburger--who grows round boxes of cereal??? Wiezlaw Z.Wiesniewski--Polish astronomer;
..if you hadn't found these on Wikipedia, kazzzz,I would have assumed you had made them up!!!

I googled 'kazzzz',this morning and sure enough,it told me you are the new bB (but not 'BB'--that stands for BIG BROTHER) but if you go making famous names up,you could give the real bB a bad name :)

BTW: Re Lee Marvin :you omitted to mention that while he lived at Woodstock (New York State),he made regular trips to Cairns,Australia,to go fishing for marlin. Shades of Ernest Hemingway, methinks.
