Publisher Released Me from My Contract. by tucsonmike on 13 July 2009 3:14am

Therefore, I am back @ square one. Have to see, where I am going to go with it. For those who have supported me, thank you.

There are many people facing a worse let-down, Mike. Just keep doing what you love, the way it feels best for you...if no one looks twice at your work it is their loss!

Oh sorry it hasn't worked out but onwards and upwards. At least you're not Scottish!!

((((hugs))))

Yes that is one good thing Mike.

;)

Seriously, re-troop and start again. Its their loss after all - by the way surely this isn't the original publisher you had? Is the first book off or is this about the one you are currently writing?

I have every faith in you Mike.

((hugs))

So sorry about that, Mike.

Do try other publishers.

Thanks guys. Yes, Anne, the same book I have been working on for three years.

Pete, you are right, there are bigger things. I am regrouping, not feeling sorry for myself.

At least, I'm not Scottish, Karen? Why, would Johnny lead a Highland charge into a publisher's corporate offices? Reminds me of this really inane commerical we have in the US. It is for Castrol Motor Oil and the red bearded take off on a Highlander runs around whipping people with a car's dipstick crying, "Think with your dipstick, Jimmy."

So I am taking two days off, will look @ it tomorrow, fix some dialog and I have already had some leads. Yes, there are bigger fish to fry. I know the game, you have to play.

Best of luck, Mike. Time and Tide. Time and Tide.

Ouch. , I'm sorry this happened. But I concur that it's their loss, not yours.
I ended up self publishing because of this kind of b.s.
