The Open (Golf) Championship 2009 by Ken Dunn on 18 July 2009 7:44pm

Tom Watson, at 59 years old, is leading the Open Championship at Turnberry by one shot at 4 under par after the third day. He has sunk some tremendous long putts to be worthy of the lead. Tomorrow, the last day, should be worth watching as it could turn out to be one of the sporting occasions of the century.

What a guy ! The ovation he received coming up the 18th was tremendous. I'd love to see him win The Open one more time.

So close! A three putt on the 18th took it to a playoff with Cink and Watson's shots in the playoff went too much astray for him to win it. Congratulations to Cink on winning and Watson playing good enough throughout the whole competition to be runner up.
