It's taken me six years, but I'm almost there by BethGoth17 on 21 December 2009 7:53pm

Everyone here might not know that I am one of the biggest Tomb Raider fans out there. I've seen the movies, I know everything there is to know about Lara and I've bought the figurine. I've played every game. Well, almost. I've had Angel of Darkness since 2003, since I was eleven but I never completed it. Ever since then, I've tried to have another bash at it, but everytime I just got bored and frustrated. That is, until now. I thought I would never ever finish this game and now, I'm five levels away from the ending. It may not seem that important you old(er) people, it certainly is to me :D

Keep at it, Beth. let us know when you make it to the end! You will!

I had the same problem with Colin MacRae Rally and could never get to the final event by game skill alone. I did pretty well at some of the earlier events in the game and liked Greece best.

l've been working on a beaded Christmas stocking since 1987 Beth (really). So I understand your pain.

Computer games are not my thing at all Beth. The only analogy that I can think of is my love of cryptic crosswords. I used to wrack my brain trying to solve 'that final clue' but then realised that sometimes it is just beyond me.

I love them too, Johnny! My favourite is the 'Bare Bones' one in the Mail on Sunday, where you are given a few black squares to begin with and a few numbers and more or less have to do the crossword from scratch - hence it's title. At the beginning you are not sure how long some of the answers are or where they go even. It isn't THAT hard but it is enough of a challenge some weeks (they seem to make it quite hard one week and easier the next) to make it enjoyable.

Do you do that one, I know you have the DAILY Mail?

:)

Well as long as long as none mentions Sudoku I mean who wants to do maths for FUN? AAARGH! I like logic puzzles. Makes the brain think outside the box a bit.

Yes Anne, that is also one of my favourite crosswords. We are so alike. :) Some weeks I can complete it in about half an hour but there have been a few times recently when I could only solve about half of it or less and even when I looked at the solution the following week I had to admit..." Nope, I would never have got that. "
