Could we post questions for Michael?? by Loretto on 6 May 2010 9:50pm

Hey there webmaster. I love reading the books that go along with the travel series. I like the way Michael Palin writes and was wondering if the people who visit this website are ever given the opportunity to pose questions for Michael Palin to answer. If that would be the case at one point in the hopefully not so distant future, I'd love to ask him if he took writing courses to help him define a style, and if he found them helpful?

Thank you.
Loretto...with the string eye for detail.

Loretto, back when the site was very new, we had the Chat Room. Michael announced going live with us and the chatroom went wild. It was so overloaded and so many people were talking all at once that poor Michael could only answer a few questions among the chaos. Many people never were able to log in due to overload. A second session was tried and that was the end of the attempts to successfully chat live or pose questions answered by Michael himself. Then.... too many trolls appeared and thus the chatroom was closed to everybody. A darn shame because it was originally the best site on the web and the people were so funny and friendly. We had a huge, huge family with the crossover fan base of Pythons and travel buff. Thus, I THINK I invented the word "Palinites" and then came the term "Pod of Palinites". One or both belongs to me . Regardless, the term "Palinite" has spread like wildfire.

The chatroom was fantastic. I really miss it. I know we can chat on MSN and FB but it's not the same. Pats I hate to be picky but I came up with Palinites! You deffo came up with pod though! I think that by now it should be appearing iin the Oxford Dictionary...don't you?

Hey there ladies. Well how about we generate a list of questions and let Michael Palin pick the ones he wants to answer. It doesn't have to be live. I wish I had known about this site a while back. Isn't it awful how people abuse the web? This site is a great idea, but a few people have tried their best to ruin it.

PS : Did ye like the Muppets singing Danny Boy? :-) LOVE IT!

Me me me meeeeeeeee!

Ok, I wasn't 100% sure but I knew both terms were invented right here on the site by us. lol.

Well, I DO know Santa (the REAL Santa, living in the Polar Circle, the same MP has visited...) and I don`t believe he has anything to do with it. Seriouslly, IS THERE anyone whom we could talk to???

WHOM????? to?????

SCREEEEEEEEEEAAAMMMMMM. That's poor sentence structure and incorrect usage of the word 'whom".

'Is there anyone TO WHOM we could speak?' (The extra 'to' at the end of the original sentence is incorrect also.)

Try not to end a sentence with a preposition. It's hard at times when in a hurry. It just sounds horrible and as if one is totally uneducated. lol.
