The Chatter Box : Blathering On
Birthday Things by Pole_2_Pole on 29 May 2003 1:44pm
It's my Birthday today (Sweet 16)! AND... my oh so 'nice' younger brother gave me the Sahara Book! All going well, you say. BUT, my Uncle bought me 'Inside Sahara'. So I'm over the moon! Plus I got loads of lovely money and other goodies! (I already have the Sahara Cassette and the series on DVD!)
I also won a competition on BBC Radio Nottingham too - But I have no idea what the prize is!

(PS, Coffee makes you hyper)

sweet sixteen and never been kissed!!

Good luck with your exams

Re: Birthday Things by Pole_2_Pole on 29 May 2003 3:48pm
Lyn - The comp was based around 4 TV related quiz type questions.

1. Why did Lonnie Donagon (Sp?) never take up his part in Eastenders?
2. Which Counrty deleted all of Miss. Piggy's sense from the Muppets?
3. Which was the Most poular TV show of 1971 (UK)?
4. Why did some bloke (I've forgotten his name) leave Coranation St?

So, when people give their answers you told how many you get correct, 1/4, 2/4, 0/4 etc. A pattern then begins, and you can then see which are correct and which arn't (Your not told the answers until the end of the show). So, I had worked out that Q2 was 'TURKEY' and Q4 was 'Too much Sex in the Script' and then guest Q3 as 'Opportunity Knocks' which was correct (lucky guess!). So, I was the first person to get 3/4 and no one managed 4/4 so I won!

Phew! Ed...
(Q1 Ans: Technicians Strike, etc)

gosh - that was hard work then

wonder if your prize is tv related!!

not surprising that no one got 4 out of 4 though!!

Didnt know Lonnie Donegan was ever considered for eastenders !! but then I dont watch soaps!

thanks Ed

Never listened to Trent FM. I only listen to BBC Notts for the 'Late Show' - has some crazy phone-ins etc.
