Kevin Rudd

It's all over the TV tonight that our PM Kevin Rudd has lost all support from his party and will be replaced by deputy leader Julia Gillard tonight. Our first female PM. I really like her and what she stands for...*thumbs up*.
Rudd went totally overboard trying to be everyone's 'mate' and to get people to like him by introducing ridiculous policies. Oh well. Bye Kev. |

There will be a Leadership Ballot to be held tomorrow - Kevin Rudd has not resigned or been sacked. |

I can't believe this is happening. Six months ago Kevin Rudd was the most popular PM in years. Now he's about to be deposed by a few nervy backbenchers and slimy factional thugs. The very same thugs who have made the ALP such a laughing stock in NSW. Talk about a letdown.
Tony Abbott PM, here we come! *shudders* |

I can't either, it's so sudden! I am on facebook and various other sites watching people's reactions and Kevin has by far the majority of the public's support if this is anything to go by. Peter Garrett has pledged his support for Kevin Rudd.
This is a nightmare, if Abbott gets in we will take ten steps back, the rich will get richer, the unions will lose power and the work contracts will be back. I could just cry. PLEASE win tomorrow Kevin. Not that it will make any difference, the public's confidence will be shattered and the bloody Libs will get back in. What a sad day. |

Gillard can kiss many of Labor's QLD seats goodbye. We're a very parochial bunch up here. We're not going to like a VICTORIAN knifing a QLDer in the back! ;-) |

Kazzzz, I've been reading this site a fair bit:
http://larvatusprodeo.net/
I particularly like this bit:
"If the ALP dumps Rudd now, it will be the height of political stupidity, and be a demonstration of nothing but craven cowardice in the face of a media/mining industry orchestrated campaign, at a time when the polls indicate, despite a low primary vote, the ALP is still odds on to win the election." |

That's really good yes, I'll read the whole thing now.
I have been reading everyone's comments, the site is updating faster that I can refresh it, overwhelming support for Kevin and also the overwhelming opinion that this is a huge mistake and Labour are just cutting their own throats. |
