Sad news in Mr P's new message. by Ken Dunn on 5 July 2010 11:54am

Having read Michael's new message and how busy he still is I too am saddened by the threat of the decimation of indigenous tribe(s) in India for want of bauxite (aluminium ore). It's a bit like the disappearance of the rain forests for want of hard wood. I think 'developed' nations should be able now to find ways of satisfying our wants without destroying parts of the world.
~
I'm fairly sure that if we mined the UK's rubbish tips we'd find a lot of aluminium and other materials that have just been discarded with hardly a thought as to their source and replenishment. Fortunately, recycling is improving but it needs to be much better.
~
Enjoy your flying visit to Ireland, Michael.

Yes, it's very sad to read...
Still, my prayers were answered and we have a new message! At least now he told us about Brazil:) Thank you Michael! It's such a pleasure to read.
And btw to stop companies destroying the environment to produce more goods, we must stop buying more than we need.
It's not difficult, to buy only what you really need. It involves only not listening to advertising rubbish and thinking for yourself - because we as consumers are responsible for demand and hence for supply and hence for environment destruction.
(Yes, I do feel strongly about (actually against) consumerists society which you built in Europe and the USA (and it exists here in Russia with I think even uglier face).

Thanx for the email Michael, very much appreciated. I'll look forward to the possible shows on Brazil.

I do agree with kisch... consumerism is the root of the problem (here in environment destruction as well as in the drug dealing). I do hope I could help MP with some hints or any other way for his intended program here in Brazil, but - as the messages - I don`t know the way to do it...
