I spent most of my life being scared of...The Mask? by BethGoth17 on 27 July 2010 5:07pm

For those who don't know, The Mask was shown on TV the other day. Since Jim Carrey is one of my favourite actors ever, I watched it. Well, anyway, ever since I was 4/5/6 years old, I'd been scared of it. I was so scared of it that I used to have panic attacks just thinking about it. But I decided to get my fears, grow up and watch the damn thing again.

It sucked. Bad. Why is NOTHING like what you remember anymore?

I have the same problem with world war II oxygen masks. They scare the crap out of me. Dr Who - The Empty Child gave me nightmares for weeks. But then, I did watch the second haif in bed in the dark, before I went to sleep, so I guess I've only got myself to blame.

I'm scared of those masks too. That was first on when my family was having a reunion of some sort and we are all Whovians. And we were all pretty much scared out of our minds XD

Glad, I'm not the only one. Only thing is Don's favourite era in history is - you guessed it - WWII! More for his love of tanks than anything, but it makes it a bit dodgy when we watch a history program (like the brilliant World at War) on TV. They even showed some on All Creatures Great and Small once (set in 1938), and I was not happy. Especially as my fave' actor, the gorgeous Peter Davison was wearing one! Ouch!
