What happened to Pythonline? by voxpops on 3 June 2003 2:23am

The site pythonline.com, which was released with some amount of gusto several years ago, has become a pale shadow of its former self. Although MP was not that involved, Eric Idle seemed quite keen on keeping up with the fans. He even used to answer some of the posts in the forum himself!! Now, the only time there is any news posted, it is only for the purposes of us buying some new product. Where is the former desire to create a place where python fans can come together and interact. It now seems that this site has taken its place. But, let's face it, this is a Mike P. site almost exclusively. Can anybody explain what happened to Pythonline?

All sites go through slow and bad patches. Don't give up. Have any of you posted on Pythonline and mentioned how you feel?

I post on the pythonline message board every day and it is how I found out about this site. The moderator there, Daz, always answers questions posted in a timely manner and there is a lot of information posted about book signings, movie projects etc. I LOVE IT!!!!

Actually I was refering to the content beyond the message boards. Sure, they are always being added to, but the rest of the site is just terrible. The last thing posted on the Daily Llama was about a month and a half ago. Pythonline is garbage! I'm hopeful that someone will take the initiative to reinvigorate the site. I'm glad that us fans have this site though. :-) Don't mind me, I'm just throwing out a comment about a once great site.
