New Scientist Mars rock competition by perfectbitch on 29 May 2011 7:57pm

Just thought some of you may be interested in this competition which you can enter online at the New Scientist website. You have to suggest what the first person to land on Mars should say.
Apparently, the piece of rock on offer is 1.7grams. A piece of the same rock weighing 102 grams recently sold for £100,000.
Good Luck!

Um... "A Mars a day helps you work, rest and play?"

Anyone else know that ad jingle?

Or how about, "Now I know what it felt like for the convicts who took 9 months to travel to Australia!"
(That's how long a journey to Mars is estimated is take...)

I remember that jingle ev. It was created by Murray Walker who used to be the BBC commentator for Formula 1. He had previously worked as an advertising executive. Good suggetion too.

A not too serious idea of mine - "I think I left the gas on!"
