  The Chatter Box : Travel
Brazil by Loretto on 9 September 2012 2:48pm
I hope the series is shown on the Public television stations here. Just read this article in the Merco Press,
about dissenters hitting the streets on Brazil's Independance day to protest against corruption.

One person was quoted as saying "Being foxy (sly) in Brazil pays better than an education."

I was in school last semester with a girl from Rio. She was in two of my classes, Digital Media and American Lit 2. In both classes she plagerised work and did the least amount of work she could possibly do. Now I don't know how she did in her grades, but if she thinks that teachers/professors don't know how to copy and past text to make sure it isn't plagerised, she doesn't deserve to be called foxy. In both classes her work was word for word belonging to other people.

If that type of work ethic gets rewarded, a country is doomed for corruption.
