You've won a prize ... by Ken Dunn on 2 July 2015 10:01pm

Is anybody sick fed up of marketing companies telling you you have won something and when you go to claim it you actually haven't? I think this is misleading marketing and companies using it should be fined. I think their ploy is to get your e-mail address via a short survey and then from the survey they bombard you with marketing e-mails from companies selling goods you have expressed or maybe have an interest in.

What they should say is that you have probably a 1 in 100,000 chance of winning this prize if you give us some personal details and if you don't win the prize we'll bombard you with e-mails from the company who makes the prizes.

I don't bother to try and claim it because I know there is always a catch.
