I finally got my parents to drive me to a library near downtown. I got all the videos, #3 of Pole to Pole because the library I'm near doesn't have it, I also got "Life of Michael"!!! I'm so happy!!! I loved Full Circle! I can't wait to watch it again! Though I started at 8:00 this morning and finished around 3:30pm? Yeah. But I also watched 2 videos the night before so that had cut off ...4 hours extra. Wow I'm tired! I can't beleive I missed so much by only reading the book! Now I gotta watch Hemingway Adventure and Sahara. I'm catching up!
Now on to "Life of Michael". |

Wow am I tired! I learned so much and it was great! I've never heard Michael say "shit" so much! I'm so glad there was caption! It just made me realize which words were spelt how. I was a bit dissapointed at the end though, to get so far and now exactly compelete the circle, well who cares? Just a mile or two! I found it weird that Michael didn't go to the Wall of China, I just thought about that...I mean, it's what most people think when they think of china's, what's it called? not monument, umm...well, you know? I can't beleive he didn't get to see the Banaue rice terraces! Too bad, too foggy. I remember watching him dine underwater in the Philippines and some lady at the end's caption said "You Bastard" when Michael went up for air after saying he didn't bring his wallet, haha! Well, I can't remember all of it, I'm so tired! I just finished "Life of Michael" too. I didn't know people objected to the snake killing in Hong Kong on "80 Days", I gotta watch it again tomorrow, homework can wait, heh heh. |

I'm not surprised that MP didn't visit the Great Wall. I'm more suprised that he *did* visit Machu Picchu & the rice terraces. I think the greatest attraction of MPs travels, besides the host, is that he tends to avoid the touristy places & finds places where he can observe & interact with The Locals. |

I am working my way happily through the new "Full Circle" dvd. However, episode 5 ends "up the creek" in Java, and episode 6 begins as he approaches Katherine, Australia. Did I miss something? |

GK, probaly not. Full Circle was very fragmented. Michael came and went on more than one occassion before completing the trip as it was long and arduous. Also Michael's wife was sick and he went home at one point to be at her side. Not sure at which point that was anymore, but nonetheless, the filming took part in stages and at different starting points. |

Trying to connect to Diomede with Little Diomede at the begiinning & end of "Full Circle" made it for me, and an odyssey I won't forget, but hopefully duplicate in some way. What else? |
