don;t pay any head to the guy who told you that 17 months is a long time to make a tv show like himalayas . remember marillion took 3 years to write and record their best ever album marbles and it is kick ass , so if taking your time over something makes sure it's good then you take as much time as you like . we all want to see your new tv show but only when you are ready to let us see it :0) i am sure himalayas will be a show that you can be proud of !
cheers
Linda

Climb Every Mountain... by Izot on 14 September 2004 9:20am

+1 - You're a tight cat Mike; thanks for the low-down.

I wish you every success for this new venture. Damn those confusing dreams from one's subconscious. I once had a dream, it was really weird, see it was about this turtle...

... and then my pants fell down. Yeah, I know... :D

I agree. As someone who took a flight over Everest in a small Nepalese plane 'Mountain Air' rather than climb it (!) I can't wait to see Himalaya either!

The scenery is absolutely breathtaking - add to that Michael Palin and you've got one brill series!!!

It was, thanks Linda! Each passenger (about 10 or 12) were taken in turn into the cockpit and the pilot pointed out which was Everest, though you also had a sort of map as well. Wonder if they still do that post 9/11?!

We had lots of other 'moments' in Kathmandu that we'll cherish - such as me sitting with three 'Sadus' (holy men)for about an hour and then being blessed by them; being blessed by a Buddhist monk; the people, etc etc.

I'd love to go again!!

(We were there just before the Crown Prince shot all his family, perhaps it's different now).

Best wishes,

Anne
