from Science Daily.com:

Bush poll numbers dim brother Jeb's future
HAMDEN, Conn., Nov. 17 (UPI) -- Record low support for U.S. President George Bush among Florida voters has dragged down support for his brother, Florida Gov. Jeb Bush as a future president.

By a 24-point margin -- 61 percent to 37 percent -- Florida voters disapprove of the president's performance, which is the lowest recorded in a similar poll by Connecticut's Quinnipiac University poll.

With those poll numbers, a third addition to the Bush White House dynasty looks unlikely soon from Thursday's poll, as 33 percent of Florida voters said they "definitely" or "probably" would vote for Jeb Bush, while 58 percent say they "probably" or "definitely" would not vote for him if he were to run for president in 2008.

Jeb Bush has consistently said he was not planning to run for president in 2008.

(Well, THAT'S good)

This will be good news for everyone if it remains this way. "Jeb" has the same politics as "W" but Jeb is intelligent. Could be dangerous.

WHY WHY WHY WHY won't John McCain be an Independent????

Not sure Jeb can run now. With the way things are going, the country may not take well to another Bush. Kinda like Moses wailing "the last time I spoke to a Bush, I was stuck in the desert for forty years!"

McCain is the only Republican I've ever voted for - and I did it gladly when I was living in Arizona and he was my Senator.

I once even re-registered Republican so I could vote for McCain when he was running against W in the presidential primary but, alas, the Bush machine had the election all sewed up by the time my state got to vote so my sacrifice was in vain.
