the nicest guy in the uk ! by back2steel on 28 November 2005 3:00am
i was watching ''ripping yarns'' on dvd one day ( in a video shop when i should of been working ) when a photographer friend came in , saw michael on screen and said ''the nicest , most down to earth man i've ever shot'' !

now we have a scale of ''niceness'' in the shop with michael at the top and no one has come close yet !

as far as stars are concerned we are thinking about patrick stewart in second place !

I saw Patrick Stewart on stage back in 1991 in New York playing all the parts in Christmas Carol. After the performance and the encores, he asked the audience to contribute to various charities and the New York Public Schools. He gave a bunch of statistics about poverty in New York. He sure had the attention of a packed house.

Patrick Stewart was on the radio over here the othr day. He definitely seemed really down to earth and very friendly. But he is also from Yorkshire - could it be something in the water that makes people act that way??????

I can reassure you that Yorkshire and it's people aren't all that friendly!
In some small towns, no matter how friendly you are, if you aren't from there, you aren't made very welcome. That's from personal experience!
