FRANZ FERDINAND by Ahren on 3 December 2005 8:35pm

OMG!!!

Last night was THE best night of my life! Went to see Franz Ferdinand at Alexandra Palace, it was SO SOSOSOSOSOSOSOSOSOSOSOSOSO good! I had to go to work today, i think the only way i got through it was by remembering last night!
We were so close to the front too, 3rd row from the barriers on the right, we coud see them so well. Bob (bassist) kept coming round and standing just above us. One time he did that i started waving frantically and he saw me and smiled at me!!!! How frigging cool is that?!!! *faints with ecstacy*
Alex came there once too, last chord and he stood right in front of us and held his guitar in the air.
We ended up being next to tis crazy group of boys. One had quite long, blonde, hair and he was going mental! He was headbanging like mad and the only way we stopped him was by getting his mate up onto his shoulders!
Can't choose a best song, they were all so good! I even liked "Do you want to" and i usually hate it!
We missed the last train back, Leo gave us a lift home, before travelling up to North Yorkshire!! Crazy man!

Wooooooooooohoooooooooooo!!! I'm so high!! Sorry for all the exclamation marks!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

You lucky duck! Franz Ferdinand is my favorite band (besides the Beatles). I missed them when they came to Atlanta, and I was so pissed. Did they play "Van Tango"?

Glad you enjoyed the show, but glad you explained what it was. To this older person, Franz Ferdinand was the man whos driver took a wrong turn in a place called Sarajevo. The Archdukes' last words? I told you to turn left, you idiot.

No, no Van Tango. All the others though! Matinee and Take me out were the ones where everyone went mental, pogo-ing and moshing like mad! Loved 40 feet and Walk Away was FANTASTIC, they had the video playing on the big screen in the background!

Mike, I didn't know who they were either until I saw an article in our local newspaper. They're from Scotland. Also, when Larry and I were there, I now remember seeing a sign with their name and wondered why on earth there was anything about the Austro-Hungarian Empire plastered on buildings. (Glasgow)

Patty, you must have thought The Central Powers won World War I and we fell asleep at the switch...

Actually the Archdukes real last words..."Sophie, live for the children." To no avail, she died minutes after he did. The rest as is said, is history.
