U.K. Next Year is Looking Possible. by tucsonmike on 12 January 2006 9:01pm

Put the U.K. on alert! LOL! I spoke with my Mom this morning. I asked how serious she was about taking me to the U.K. in Summer, 2007. The answer was a resounding yes! Would probably be in July. My Toastmasters District is the host district for the International Conference in 2007. I've already been told, I kinda, ought to be there.
So, I have a year and a half.
The U.K. has a year and a half...You've been warned...

Seriously, we look forward to having you, Mike.

What part of the UK will it be, London?

Wonderful news for you and Blighty. Hope you can spend some time in London - it'd be great motivation for an international get together. Linz

Actually, I very much might be in the UK next year, because there will be a big World Jamboree, commemorating the 100th anniversary of Scouting. I've been planning to go there for some time. So, while being there, I could also do some extra stuff, like... participate on a Palinite meeting? ;-) :-)

The Jamboree will be held in Chelmsford Hylands Park in Essex from July 27 through August 8. So there's no problem for me to come to the UK a few days (possibly even a week) sooner. I have a family living near London (Egham, Surrey, about half an hour by car from Heathrow airport), so I don't have problems with accomodation.

It would be awesome, if we managed to organise a bigger Palinite meeting! :-D

OK, when the U.K. closes down for defragging, who's being defragged? Tony Blair or the Royal Family?
