The Chatter Box : Blathering On
a new vision... by marcstravel on 8 May 2006 11:25pm
Hello Michael,
thanks for keep sending me messages which I always find them very interesting.

I wish I could go around as you do.

From my younger years, when I was studying geology, my teacher was always telling us that you couldn't understand geography without history and vice-versa.

And today, I would say that another science should be added to geography: climate. Indeed, with time, in a very slow process, climate affects areas. Still, with what we are witnessing in our environment, even in a human scale of existence(60 years of age..or more) we amazingly discern a change in our landscapes.

My question to you would be: in all your years of filming and photography, have your own eyes witnessed a change in places, you once discovered and today found them.. different?

If the relation Geography - History - Climate can't be divided(?), then, your work will show to future generations, what kind of footprints, human race is leaving on our planet.

my best regards to you...
