Michael on the radio! by Rusted on 1 April 2003 7:11pm
Hello folks!

I just got done listening to Michael on the "Bob and Tom" radio show here in the US. It wasn't a really long interview, but Michael was on for about 10 minutes - long enough to talk from the moment I got in my car to right before I arrived at school.

The talk was on Sahara, of course, although I did notice a few Python references were slipped in by the radio folks ("My brain hurts!").

Pulling this from memory...they talked about the show in general and when it was airing, and then Michael mentioned a bit about his next show in the Himalayas. Ummm...he talked about some of his favorite places (somewhere in Russia and another place off the coast of Chile; can't remember the names!), how the family used to vacation in France, how his comedy helped him through difficult journey moments, his lack of plans for any acting jobs in the near future, how Passepartout manages to get along, how he is sometimes recognized in totally obscure places, and how he is sometimes picked out as the "leader" of the group (much to his stomach's misfortune). It was an amusing and entertaining interview.

Oh, as well - he was also joking around about how he had to have some sort of sickness everytime he went out. He mentioned that it started with 80 Days, and began to recount the Dhow incident. I cringed just thinking about it again - poor Michael!

So my morning has got off to a good start! :O)

*ignoring karen*

I'm glad you guys enjoyed the report - for those of you who saw him on Conan tonight, he talked about similar things. In fact, I've heard the story about Michael eating the bull <insert word that would probably get censored here> TWO days in a ROW now. ROFL! Poor Mike...

Thanks for the big hug, Ellen! I'm just overflowing with warm fuzzy vibes from you today! Now, if I just don't think about missing Michael in Chicago at all tomorrow...

Judy, it was on at 8:50AM CST Tuesday morning.

ravenreayn, I actually don't listen to "Bob and Tom" (they irritate me most of the time, and I've a general aversion from radio to begin with), but I got a heads-up that Michael was going to be on the show that morning.

And he was. YAY. :O)
