No, the refereeing in the Men's Basketball final.

All over for another four years... :-(

Did anyone watch the Closing Ceremony? What did you think? I'd be particularly interested to hear what you all thought of London's contribution to the ceremony.

BTW - sorry London, but does Boris Johnson always look like a slob?

I watched part of the Closing Ceremony. I saw on BBC, many Brits are annoyed London has the Olympics.
The Closing Ceremony was of course spectacular. Yes, Boris Johnson does look rumpled, but so do I.
I heard from the reporter who wrote the article in the Daily Gleaner about Jamaica's sprinters. He is getting ALL sorts of flak for it.

Boris Johnson is lovely - I don't mean to look at, but lovely.

AND he can trace his ancestry back to George II.

He was on 'Who do you think you are' the other night - where celebs trace their ancestry.

Trouble is, for you and me it is harder because they are helped every step of the way. Not for you and me, oh no. But I love the programme even so.

Anyway, to get back to the point, Boris is great.

Should Tae Kwon Do referees be armed? Or simply stop having this sport? It is as close to non-contact sports as we have in our society. This is more like dancing than than MMA fighting.

Anne - did you catch Boris's wiff-waff speech the other day? At least he has a sense of humour - LOL!

I didn't mind the Closing Ceremony. Obviously it wasn't as spectacular as the Opening, nor should it be. I certainly didn't know Jackie Chan fancied himself as a singer, LOL! Can't wait to see how London goes in four years time. Might have to make the trip myself...

No I didn't because I have been boycotting the whole thing! Saw in the paper that he had spoken about it (table tennis) though!!

;)

Was just wondering if anyone watched any of the Paralympics? There seemed to be a big fuss about the Olympics but nothing about the Paralympics.

I have seen some of it - watched some basketball and swimming. They are amazing.

The closing ceremony is on now.
