Death by concussion spoils a lot more than the weather.

After I got a scary concussion ice skating, I vowed I'd buy a horse riding helment (better protection for the back of the head) and wear that the next time I went skating. And if I ever think I can skate without damaging my back, I'll do that.

RIP Natasha. My thoughts and prayers are with Liam, their sons, and family and friends.

I've no memory of the lady, but from all I've seen about her...this is the most tragic loss to her husband and family. I am so sorry.

Skating with no helmet is more dangerous than skiing unprotected. I've skiied on and off all my life and now wear a helmet. A guy needs a hat, and the right helmet will do the job, so to shut everyone up...I got a helmet.

Skiing is a lot more dangerous to your limbs than your head, but the stakes are high. A concussion can occur without severe impact. Just your brain sloshing around your cranium can wipe you out cognitively. A helmet may not save you from this, but reduces the chances.

Wear pads all over your body when you skate, it's a lot more fun than fear of bruises.

I views some raw footage of people coming and going to the funeral home. Liam and the family eventually came out after the casket was placed in the hearse. I was very moved. But what I really meant to say is this---

*********If anyone can tune into the interviews with Charlie Rose, probably TODAY, you will be touched and find a new appreciation for Natasha. The more I see, hear and read about her, the more I wish I had paid more attention when she was with us.
A good lesson for all of us. In Maryland, Charlie Rose airs repeats from previous night programs at 12:30 pm to 1:30 pm on the subsequent day. Check your listings, as they say.

It certainly was very tragic. I wish all the best for Liam, their sons and her family.
