That's too bad. It was the Father Ted episode where everyone thinks he is racist! "Hello Father. We hear you're a racist now. What's the church's official stance on that? Does it take much time, being a racist?"

I loved Father Ted but I was once ( somewhat unfairly, I think, compared to Fr. Jack ! ). I think it was my crabbit nature rather than my looks. ( and I suppose my fondness for the odd tipple ;) )

@ Anne, I think your dad's attitude to Japan was understandable given his experiences. My dad was also a WW2 veteran and once refused to go to the airport and pick up a German visitor to the company we both worked for in the seventies. However, I still have a penknife that my dad was given/took from a German POW. I used it for many years in my job.

Thank you Johnny. On the other hand, he told the tale of how he refused to kill a Japanese soldier who was climbing the radio mast (Dad was in signals, taking messages to and from Mountbatten - he had trained in RADAR during his training).

So he obviously didn't agree with what the Japanese were about, but wouldn't kill one in 'cold blood'.

As a teenager I was rather ashamed that he hadn't killed anyone in the war, now I feel proud of him.

:)

Oh and I got the same message about Channel 4 blocking a video 'in my country' when trying to put a Shameless clip on FB (Frank's opening sequence) !!

VERY annoying!

I see it's due for release in July. That should keep us going over the holiday period until 'Brazil' is issued later in the year.

The plot looks quite interesting.

Mr P keeps himself busy!
