I thought you might like to new that UNESCO is holding an international vote to pick the new 7 wonders of the world. The candidates are:

Eiffel Tower
Great Wall of China
Hagia Sophia
Kiyomizu Temple
Kremlin
Machu Picchu

Sydney Opera House
Taj Mahal
Timbuktu
You can vote at www.new7wonders.com. The new 7 wonders will be announced on 07/07/07.

The Statue of Liberty is beautiful and represents freedom and liberty and yada yada, it's fantastic, but in truth it's not a wonder.

IMO everything in Asia is greater than everything else! Can all 7 reside in Asia?!

Yeah, I agree, what's wrong with the old wonders? Most of the new ones mentioned aren't "wonders". They're famous, but not really wonders...

I totally agree, the old wonders are still just as wonderous as they were when they were first named the 7 wonders of the world.
