I apologize to johnnythemonkey and... by canaveralgumby on 22 March 2007 4:30pm

...and anyone else whom I may have upset. I mean it.

kazzzz, I know how hard you're working to get MP to have a chat, and I would never want to ruin that.

pandab, again, I wish the best for you and your family, and your father, and my prayers are with you.

jtm, I just read the full account of your situation and it's dreadful and I'm really sorry. You don't deserve my abuse.

Well, NO one deserves ANYONE's abuse! Unless there's payment up front and safe words are established.

And I am sorry for that bad joke.

If I may say, I have been here since about Jan. 2003 and I haven't fought with anyone before. I don't know why stuff got under my skin like that.

I see now that, without a LOT of context and explanation, even I would have thought that the quote was an awful thing to say.

What I really want is for pandab's father to post here, years from now, to tell me what a schmuck I am.

I think Lounge Trekker has a great idea. There are heated disagreements here from time to time. In person, one would say, "Oh yeah, buddy? Wanna take this outside?" On an online message board one could say, "Oh yeah, buddy? Wanna take this to..........." It's MP's webite, we could call it "The Argument Clinic."

I really appreciate that Cori and return it to you and others that I have offended with my nonsense in the past. I do enjoy the site and I will try to learn from this.
Sometimes my behaviour on-line does mirror the way I am in "real life " though. I say the things that others wish they could say. In work for instance I have sometimes said things to senior management (and been respected for it) whilst my immediate boss is cringeing and usually grovelling to the same people.
I know that is not a good comparison for some of the things I have said here. I think I am trying to say that if people knew me ,they would shake their heads and laugh rather than get angry with me. (trying to make myself look like a saint!!!)
I'll tell you why it got under your skin. You must have, understandably, thought, "Of all the people........."
Best wishes and I'll try to keep my cheek and warped humour under some degree of control!!

Now that we have that straight. This is not argument but abuse. Does it end with the apology like a Fish Called Wanda where Kevin Kline hangs John Cleese out of the window.

Quote from Cori's post,

LOL. I just caught that joke at the second reading.

Who the hell could I trust with a "safe word"!
I'd be dead and they would be wearing ear plugs!!
