How many pairs of shoes do you have? by ev on 28 May 2007 11:14am

Being a somewhat practical fellow, I only have 5, including a pair of thongs ('flip-flops') - yes, in Australia we call them 'thongs' :D

How many pairs of shoes do you have? I mean, if it's not a personal question ;) ..

not counting three pairs of flip-flops i normaly never wear, not including the slippers i only wear at home, including this pair of black ones, i'll never wear again, may they rot in hell !!
i have four pairs of shoes!
1: grey, VERY old, absolutely not my favourites, didn't wear them for years.
2: this black ones i would like to cut in very small pieces burn them and burie them somewhere, where i can be sure noone will ever find them again !!
3: my black "i do as i am" budapesters.
not real budapester!are ought to look like it but are much cheaper ! :P
am very proud of them !
4: i think they are my favourites,
blown, VERY VERY old wintershoes, i wear wintershoes in summer and summershoes in winter so... maybe they are already a bit shabby but who cares about it when they are the favourite ones ?? noone !!

In the UK: about 5 pairs of trainers; 2 pairs flip-flops; 1 pair 'dressy' black suede strappy heeled shoes; 1 pair of old flat shoes to do the gardening in (i.e. never hahahaha); 3 pairs sandals; 1 pair (I think) flat shoes; 2 pairs (1 gold 1 pink) leather pumps (you know the sort). Think that's it.

In Turkey: 1 pair red leather pumps; 1 pair strappy sandals; 1 pair trainer sandals (can't remember what else but I know there are others there).

How about handbags?

I tend to collect them more than shoes! Can't afford designer so they are mostly good quality leather from Turkey, pretending to be something they aren't but who cares? The point is they are good quality.

My fave WAS a large Louis Vuitton grafitti bag - until it went out of fashion!!! I LONG to use it again! It is probably even better quality that the real thing!! (Sorry Louis!!)

I am always reluctant to throw things away (well I'm Scottish) so I have numerous pairs of almost identical trainers at various stages of wear ; but I only ever wear the newest!
I don't know how many pairs of shoes are lying around but I probably wear only 4 different ones.

Hah hah hah. Squash shoes, two pair sandals, cheap and heavy walking boots, snow boots, work boots, serious winter hiking boots, ski boots, soccer boots, slippers, several pair dancing shoes, a pair of those little Chinese plastic shoes that are extremely convenient but not good for walking in, and my latest acquisition:

a pair of incredible Naot leather shoes that felt so good I wore them home laughing all the way...pretty good for a $152.00 pair of shoes. I think having good shoes will change my life forever.

Now that these Naot shoes are the only shoes that make my feet feel good, I can get rid of the others and have room to park in my garage.

One pair of red thongs. They are just so versatile and do me in the courtroom, the boardroom, the bedroom and the poolroom.

I also have a matching red handbag with beads and tassels, ala Chicago circa 1920.

I have four: (Not counting one pair of flip flops). It is one of my sisters who is trying to compete w/Imelda Marcos and Condi Rice. (Condi shops at Ferragamo in Manhattan, but that is another story).

Sneakers
Soft black hush puppies: For Monday-Thursday at work. I call them my "geek" shoes
Old Corporate Dress Shoes: I haven't worn them in a year and a half.
Finally, what else...COWBOY BOOTS! The good thing is, they can be worn in a variety of situations.
