"It was quite calm..." Terrified is probably more likely. 1M long is not very big for a shark, and it sounds like it wasn't aggressive or anything. I hope they got it back into salt water.

I look like the rat here. You ladies were concerned for the shark's safety, all I could think about was being a wiseguy and shark fin soup.

Don't worry about it, Mike. I'm just overly sensitive when it comes to wild animals. But not so much that I didn't laugh at your first post.

Oh yes poor shark...having a nice swim in a beachside pool, starring in heaps of articles and photos and then being escorted back home. Next thing you know it will be looking for an agent...
