Meeting another Palinite by geordiegirl on 25 September 2008 2:47pm

I do try to 'collect' them when I can, where we visit- this was meeting Linda (flinda) who graced this site for a few months last year. She & I kept in touch, and it was just marvellous to meet up with her at the apartment we rented in Budapest - the 3 of us managed to spend 7 hours together without hesitation, deviation or repeptiton (in the words of a BBC radio panel game).

She is a very serious-minded and highly-intelligent young woman, training to be a journalist - a great Anglophile, works very hard, loves her city & country.

We talked of several on the site - Mike, in particular your ears should have been burning as we outlined & appreciated your many good points! (I believe you talk to her on another site?)
Anyway, another new friend made through Michael Palin & maybe I'll tell him in writing, one of these days.

LOL! Linda and I talk on Google chat every so often. I wondered how the meeting of the two Linda's would go.;-)
We shall see about next year. Depends on where air fares are. Even travel within the U.S. is getting outrageous.

Pats dearie, do you need a lie down?

Re: Meeting another Palinite by peripatetically on 26 September 2008 1:13pm

In fact, yes, I could use a little time to myself. My stinger needs a rest after all of that.

Dare I ask, in public, Patty, what your 'stinger' is??

Thanks, Kazzz, yes, it IS something special. I wrote that in my holiday diary. I wonder if MP realises this sort of thing is actually happening & it's due to him. I suppose it happens from many a website, but I'm still 'green' enough to be amazed by it.

Amazing, and so empathetic, is the word for Linda, Mike - you just wouldn't believe 3 people could chat away as if they'd known each other for ever. Wish you'd been there - YES I entertain hopes of next year & will be getting in touch in due course.

HAHAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHAHAHAHAH. Linda, you really made me laugh! So unexpected. I see why you ask. lol. It's a mystery to me, but I'll see if I can find it the next time I bathe.

Oh, Lord, aren't we seperated by a common language? Yes, I get you, pardon my blushes!! (And glad I gave you a laugh!)
