Wimbledon 2009 by Ken Dunn on 28 June 2009 5:07pm

Andy Murray is playing well and looking in good form to progress further into the second week of the championship. He has a fourth round match on Monday. I like the way he always stops to sign autographs before leaving the court.

Yes, he is playing well. Let's hope he can keep doing so.

What an epic his Monday night five setter was against the Swiss number 2. To begin with I thought he was going to be beaten but he has the knack of making adjustments to his game for different opponents. It was interesting that the roof was closed for the match and it didn't finish till 1040pm. His next round game is today and should be worth watching if you like tennis.

As long as Lleyton Git Hewitt doesn't win I'm happy :)

Your wish has been granted Kazzzz; Roderick - oops, Roddick - beat Hewitt in a five setter and with Murray's win over Ferrero he plays Roddick in the semi-final. Federer and Haas are in the other semi. Friday afternoon, UK time, is when to watch these games.

Lovely result:)
Ken I think you mean Roddick.

I was lucky enough to get Centre Court seats again this year so was there yesterday! It was great. Murray played extremely well against Ferrero.

But the most exciting match was on Court No.1 - Roddick and Hewitt. Henman Hill (or Murray Mount!) was absolutely packed.

I'll sleep better tonight not wondering how Andy Murray would have done on Sunday if he had won today. Although Murray returned a lot of Roddick's serves he looked a bit weary and frustrated at times. Perhaps Roddick's few years extra experience gave him the edge.

Roddick was the better player on the day and I hope he goes on to take the title. We all know how good Roddick's serve is and today it was exceptional but I think that it was Murray's woefully low % of first serves in that decided the outcome of the match.
