All of Michael's original hardback books have lots of photos and the paperback ones of his travels have some but smaller. Himalaya has a good one of him on the dust cover (and also inside) with many other spectacular photos as well.
If the shop has the books in stock have a flick through one before you buy it.
I seem to remember him doing a section of Pole to Pole through part of Russia so that may be worth considering too.

Of those I would recommend ATWIED and Sahara in that order.
